Senior Logistics Administration Officer Venlo
Put your transport and logistics experience to work at Walker in Venlo. In this senior role, you will maintain an overview, take responsibility, and liaise extensively with customers, carriers, and colleagues.
For our Venlo location, we are looking for a Senior Logistics Administration Officer for 40 hours per week. You will work at our warehouse location, where cross-docking activities also take place. Depending on how busy it is, around 60 colleagues work at this location. You will join a department of 10 colleagues, 6 of whom perform the same role.
We work hard, but there is always room for humor. We do it together: colleagues help each other out, communicate quickly, and push through when necessary. Many colleagues have been with Walker for a long time and have developed step-by-step within the organization. We value this growth. You will receive trust, responsibility, and the freedom to organize your work effectively within clear frameworks.
What will you do?
As a Senior Logistics Administration Officer, you ensure that the administrative side of our logistics processes runs smoothly. You will have regular contact with customers, carriers, and colleagues in the warehouse. Together, you ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are properly coordinated, processed, and followed up.
If something doesn't go as planned, you don't wait around. You align with the right people, contribute to finding a solution, and make sure everyone knows where they stand.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the planning of inbound shipments;
- Monitoring the pick and pack process;
- Preparing and processing inbound and outbound documentation;
- Scheduling outbound orders according to the customer's planning;
- Booking transport and coordinating loading times;
- Identifying disruptions and informing customers and carriers;
- Handling and forwarding complaints;
- Processing shipments and purchasing in CargoWise for timely invoicing;
- Contributing ideas for improvements in work methods and collaboration.
What do you bring?
You maintain a clear overview, work accurately, and take ownership. When booking transport, you don't just look at what can be done quickly, but also at what aligns with customer agreements, planning, and the current situation in the warehouse. You take responsibility for your own work, but you also know that excellent logistics is always teamwork.
Furthermore, you bring:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in transport and logistics, preferably in a warehouse, cross-dock, or supply chain environment;
- MBO+ (intermediate vocational plus) working and thinking level;
- Good command of both the Dutch and English languages;
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel;
- Experience with CargoWise is a plus;
- A customer-oriented and practical way of working;
- The drive to deliver great work together and go the extra mile.
What do we offer?
At Walker, you will get a role of 40 hours per week with responsibility, variety, and plenty of contact with operations. You will work in a committed team with short communication lines and room to further develop yourself.
Growth is important at Walker. We happily look along with you at your career path and the steps you can take within the organization.
You can count on:
- A salary that matches your experience and seniority;
- 25 vacation days based on 40 hours;
- 8% holiday allowance;
- Pension scheme;
- Travel allowance;
- Profit-sharing scheme;
- Room for development and growth;
- Trust and freedom to set up your work effectively within clear frameworks;
- A team that works hard, but where there is also room for humor.
Note: Weekend work may occur occasionally. Because this position requires a high level of coordination and continuity, it is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.

- Experience with Excel;
- Availability for 32 hours per week;
- Availability on Mondays, as this is a fixed working day.
Experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or warehousing is a plus, but not a hard requirement. More importantly, you want to learn, dare to ask questions, and hand over your work neatly.
What do we offer?
At Walker, you will get a broad financial role in an international logistics organization. You will work in a small team where you will quickly become involved in daily operations, and where your efforts directly help to keep the administration reliable and up to date.

- A small and dedicated finance team with Shirley, Fleur, and Sjunaica, where you will quickly find your place and help each other during busy times;
- Room to further develop yourself within finance and logistics;
- Collaboration with colleagues who think practically, help each other, and adapt quickly;
- An organization where reliability, service, and personal attention are paramount.
