Are you accurate, practical and at home in a finance administration role within logistics? If so, we would be pleased to meet you.
We are looking for an All-round Finance Administrator for 24 to 32 hours per week at our Nieuw-Vennep office.
You will mainly be responsible for accounts payable, while also supporting accounts receivable and other finance activities.
What will you do?
You will work with Finance Manager Shirley and your colleagues Fleur and Sjunaica.
Together, you will ensure that the finance administration is accurate and that invoices, payments and outstanding items are followed up properly.
This role focuses on accounts payable. You will also assist with accounts receivable and support other finance activities when needed. This keeps the workload balanced and enables the team to cover for one another during busy periods, holidays or illness.
Your responsibilities will include:
- processing, checking and posting incoming invoices;
- matching invoices to transport documents, accruals and other supporting information;
- identifying and investigating discrepancies or exceptions;
- preparing incoming invoices for payment;
- processing and reconciling bank transactions;
- supporting accounts receivable administration and credit control;
- posting non-operational invoices;
- liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues about invoices, payments and outstanding items;
- handling reminders and invoice-related queries;
- supporting month-end closings, checks and financial reporting;
- helping to develop clear and reliable administrative processes.
You will work in a small finance team with short lines of communication. This means you will quickly see what is happening and learn a great deal about the financial side of transport, logistics and supply chain services.
What do you bring?
You work carefully and maintain a clear overview, even when many invoices, questions or deadlines arrive at the same time. You do not need to know everything already, but you do consider it important to investigate matters thoroughly and honour agreements.
We are looking for someone with:
- a vocational qualification or equivalent level of education and thinking, preferably in finance or administration;
- experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or a comparable finance role;
- an accurate and structured way of working;
- a strong sense of responsibility and ownership;
- good communication skills when dealing with colleagues, suppliers and customers;
- a good command of Dutch;
- basic English skills, useful in an international logistics environment;
- experience with Excel;
- availability for 24 to 32 hours per week;
Experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding or warehousing is an advantage, but not a strict requirement. More important is your willingness to learn, your confidence in asking questions and your ability to hand over work neatly.
