Being seen for who I am is important to me — I feel like a valued member of the team.

I remember when I first started work at Walker nearly two years ago. I had worked at my previous employer for a long time, so moving to a new company was a big step. True to the spirit of Walker, the team took me under their wing and I must say it took no time to feel at home here. Being seen for who I am is really important to me. I don't feel like a number or a robot but a valued member of the team.

I appreciate the personal attention when management visits our office. They put you right at ease, always enquiring how the job’s going and how things are at home. If a company cares about its employees, it cares about its business – Walker does that! I feel part of something great.

Walker’s approach to multimodal logistics is unique. Customers have one contact person that deals with the whole process from start to finish. I like the combination of responsibility and freedom to plan your day to serve the customer as best you can. Reaching our targets as a team gives me energy. We are encouraged to learn from our mistakes and use best practices to improve processes.
