Put your transport and logistics experience to work at Walker in Venlo. In this role, you will maintain oversight, take ownership, and work closely with customers, carriers, and colleagues.
For our Venlo location, we are looking for an Administrative Logistics Employee for 40 hours per week. You will work at our warehouse facility, where cross-docking activities also take place. Depending on business levels, approximately 60 colleagues work at this location. You will join a department of 10 colleagues, with 6 colleagues performing the same role.

What will you do?
As an Administrative Logistics Employee, you ensure that the administrative side of our logistics processes runs smoothly and accurately. You will have extensive contact with customers, transport providers, and warehouse colleagues. Together, you will ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are coordinated, processed, and followed up efficiently.
If something does not go according to plan, you do not wait around. You coordinate with the right people, think proactively about solutions, and make sure everyone knows where they stand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the scheduling of inbound shipments;
- Monitoring the pick-and-pack process;
- Preparing and processing inbound and outbound warehouse documentation;
- Scheduling outbound orders according to customer requirements;
- Booking transportation and coordinating loading times;
- Identifying disruptions and informing customers and carriers;
- Handling and escalating complaints;
- Processing shipments and purchasing transactions in CargoWise to ensure timely invoicing;
- Contributing ideas to improve processes and collaboration.
What do you bring?
You are organized, detail-oriented, and take responsibility for your work. When booking transport, you consider not only speed but also customer agreements, planning requirements, and warehouse operations. You take ownership of your tasks while understanding that successful logistics is always a team effort.
In addition, you have:
- Experience in transport and logistics, preferably within a warehouse, cross-docking, or supply chain environment;
- MBO+ level of education and thinking (vocational education plus);
- Strong command of both Dutch and English;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Experience with CargoWise is an advantage;
- A customer-focused and practical approach to work;
- The drive to deliver excellent results together and go the extra mile.
