Put your experience in transport and logistics to use at Walker in Venlo. In this role, you will maintain oversight, take responsibility, and communicate frequently with customers, carriers, and colleagues.
For our location in Venlo, we are looking for an Administrative Logistics Coordinator for 40 hours per week. You will work at our warehouse location, which also handles cross-dock activities. Depending on how busy it is, about 60 colleagues work at this location. You will join a department of 10 colleagues, 6 of whom perform the same role as you.
We work hard, but there is always room for humor. We do it together: colleagues help each other, switch gears quickly, and push through when necessary. Many of our colleagues have been with Walker for a long time and have developed step-by-step within the organization. We highly value this professional growth. You will be given trust, responsibility, and the freedom to organize your work effectively within clear guidelines.
What will you do?
As an Administrative Logistics Coordinator, you ensure that the administrative side of our logistics processes runs flawlessly. You will have regular contact with customers, carriers, and warehouse colleagues. Together, you ensure that incoming and outgoing shipments are properly coordinated, processed, and followed up on.
Does something go differently than planned? You don’t sit back and wait. You coordinate with the right people, help think of a solution, and make sure everyone knows where they stand.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the schedule for incoming shipments.
- Monitoring the pick-and-pack process.
- Preparing and processing documents for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Scheduling outbound orders according to the customer's planning.
- Booking transport and coordinating loading times.
- Identifying disruptions and proactively informing customers and carriers.
- Handling and forwarding complaints.
- Processing shipments and purchasing in Cargowise for timely invoicing.
- Contributing ideas to improve working methods and collaboration.
What do you bring?
You keep an overview, work accurately, and take ownership. When booking transport, you don't just look at what is fastest, but also at what aligns with customer agreements, the schedule, and the situation in the warehouse. You take responsibility for your own work, but you also understand that great logistics is always a team effort.
Furthermore, you bring:
- At least 4 years of experience in transport and logistics, preferably in a warehouse, cross-dock, or supply chain environment.
- An MBO+ (vocational+/associate degree) working and thinking level.
- Good command of both the Dutch and English languages.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Cargowise is a major plus.
- A customer-oriented and practical way of working.
- The drive to deliver quality work together and go the extra mile.
What do we offer?
At Walker, you get a 40-hour-a-week role filled with responsibility, variety, and close contact with the operations team. You will work in an engaged team with short communication lines and plenty of room for personal development.
Growth is important at Walker. We are happy to look at your career path with you and support the steps you want to take within the organization.
You can count on:
- A salary matching your experience and seniority.
- 25 vacation days (based on 40 hours).
- 8% holiday allowance.
- A solid pension scheme.
- Travel allowance.
- Profit-sharing scheme.
- Room for personal growth and development.
- Trust and freedom to organize your work within clear frameworks.
- A team where hard work is balanced with humor.
Note: Weekend work may occasionally occur. Because this role requires close coordination and continuity, it is strictly a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
