Who we are

Walker International Transportation is a Netherlands-based subsidiary of Walker SCM, who has over 25 years of experience in transport and logistics. We get a thrill from getting the job done: solving logistical puzzles or pulling an all nighter to solve unexpected challenges, or to tackle last-minute orders. Each of our colleagues takes their responsibility to make sure we do whatever it takes to make sure you are satisfied with our service.

What we do

Shipping is our expertise. We’ve built a track record of success in global air & ocean freight forwarding, value-added warehousing & distribution, inventory management & fulfillment and many more disciplines. Our team of specialists has worked together for years in the field, and we believe that teamwork and transparency gets the job done. Anybody can ship a package from A to B, but here at Walker, we go the extra mile to make sure you are completely satisfied.

Martijn delivers 23,000 kg medicine to Indonesia

At Walker it really feels like we’re in this together, and everybody is prepared to go the extra mile. In the rare case that we make a mistake, we communicate that immediately. That’s our number one priority: straightforward communication. We are available 24 hours a day, despite our small team.

The best times are when we feel like “maybe we’re not going to make it,” but then we manage to anyway.  One time we had to label 23,000 kilograms of medicine, so 4 of us went down to the warehouse and labeled 3,700 boxes together. Together, we were able to get the shipment to Indonesia.

Different countries have new rules, new customers have different wishes: every assignment is a valuable new learning experience. There’s not much of a hierarchy, so I have full responsibility when deciding how I to help my customer.

Customers don’t send an e-mail to info@witlogistics.com. They send a message to rkoopman@witlogistics.com, or they send me a message on whatsapp. If I can’t answer their question directly, there’s always somebody here who can, so our customers’ questions are always answered. We have a very tightly-knit team. That satisfaction, when I know our customers are happy, it’s incomparable. Getting that feeling is what I love about my job.
